Organic Fibre Flax Seeds

(A/2'-3')(FS) The tall straight stems of this variety produce fiber used in the manufacture of linen.  Making linen from flax stems is a fairly arduous task, after it is cut, stripped, soaked in water, rotted then dried in the sun, it must be, in the words of Bartholomew, the medieval herbalist  'knocked, beten and brayd and carflyd, rodded and grossed, ribbyd and heklyd and at the last sponne'.

Our variety, Cascade Fiber Flax, originated from Oregon State University during WWII.
