Organic Milk Thistle Seed

(A/4')(FS) An impressive plant with its large spiny glossy leaves marbled with creamy white veins. The common name of Milk Thistle comes from the belief that milk from the Virgin Mary fell on the leaves and caused the white veining. Eighteenth century gardeners thought the flavor of the young shoots to be excellent. The seeds contain silymarin which helps the liver to recover from damage from alcohol, mushroom poisoning, hepatitis, and cirrhosis. CAUTION: Use seed only under physician supervision.
