(P/6")(SH) Native from B.C. to California having glossy dark green heart shaped leaves, making it an attractive ground cover for the shade garden. The purplish-brown flowers hide under the leaves and have an interesting feature were the calyxes elongate into little tentacles. The rhizomes have a mild ginger flavor.
