BACHELOR’S BUTTONS or CORN FLOWER* - Centaurea cyanus
(A/24-30”)(FS) An infusion of the dried flowers has been used to relieve tired, irritated eyes by the apothecaries since before the 16th century. Its astringent properties make it benefical in lotions for the skin.We have discoverd the use of the individual florets in salads and as garnishes for added color. Flowers come in bright blue, white, pink and lavender. Great cut flower!
