(B/P/12")(FS) Z4-9 Also known as Alkanet. It is a member of the borage family, producing large numbers of blue to purple flowers. This herb was once listed in the U.S. Pharmacoepia as a diuretic and a diaphoretic. Roots yield a good red dye.
