Hops Rhizome, Sorachi Ace - Certified Organic - Pre-order for Spring
The rare Sorachi Ace hops is a combination of Brewer's Gold and Saaz hops developed for Sapporo Breweries in the 1970's. It was named after it's developers in the Sorachi Subprefecture in Japan. For years it was grown in Japan and China but didn't become commercially available in the US until 2006 after a US hop grower, Darren Gamache, aquired starts from the USDA Hop Cultivars and began growing it on a large scale.
The high alpha in Sorachi Ace makes it a bittering hop; however, it also has an intense lemon flavor with noticable notes of dill, coriander and tea (even white flowers) making useful as a flavoring hop as well.
Perfect for: IPA's, Wheats and Saisons. Add the extreme lemon flavor to any summer beer.

Please inspect your hops upon arrival. Some formation of mycorrhizal fungi is normal. Open the bag and allow fresh air in. Dampen if necessary, and store in the refrigerator or plant immediately. Growing instructions included.
