A hardy native to the Pacific States producing showy blue, blue white and rich purple blooms early in spring. Camas is a nice addition to a border, rock garden or natural garden. The Native American Indians valued the bulbs, quamash as a food source. At one time the Willamette Valley in Oregon was a sea of them.
