We grew this fascinating specimen for the first time this year and were captivated by the whole life cycle of the flowers, from unusual alien-like bud to sweetly nodding flower—and every interesting phase in between.
 
The plant starts with a curling burgundy vine and deep green leaves and as it continues to grow puts out flowers on regular intervals. Spreads easily during the growing season and a single plant can cover a 5' area for seasonal privacy. Long growing season ends only as frost hits.
 
Provide structure for the plant to climb. Attracts butterflies, bees and hummingbirds.
