Ginkgos are left over from prehistoric times, being one of the oldest, if not the oldest surviving tree on earth. Besides its very unique appearance it also is very useful as a medicinal herb. Chemicals in Ginkgo increase the blood flow in the body which helps all sorts of medical conditions such as strokes, heart disease, impotence, deafness, failing eyesight and memory. Used in Chinese medicine as well as by India's traditional Ayurvedic healers who associated it with longevity. I was once bothered with heart palpitations but after taking ginkgo to improve my memory, I noticed my palpitations disappeared!
