Newport Hop Rhizome
Recently developed American high-alpha bittering hop released in 2002 from the hop research facility in Corvallis, Oregon. Galena was produce as a potential replacement for Galena due to its multi-disease resistance, especially to some strains of Powdery Mildew in the Pacific Northwest. Newport has a fairly pungent resin flavor and mild citrus aroma. High yielding. Use in in any type of Ale. alpha 10-17%

Certified Organic Rooted Rhizomes are two-year hop plants organically grown without the use of pesticides, fungicides or herbicides. They have produced crowns full of buds ready to produce healthy bines plus vigorous root systems. The standard rhizome cutting is the typical way to start a new hops plant but it doesn't have a crown and a root system, that is created the second year.
