Dark Opal Basil Seed
Ocimum basilicum 'Purpurascens'
 
Used to garnish salads and in the same way as sweet basil. We add a purple basil leaf to our sweet basil vinegar to give it a beautiful blush color. It also adds a nice dark contrast to the flower garden. Produces flowers from light pink to fuchsia.
 
Seed Germinating Tips: Plant outdoors in spring after danger of frost, or indoors 6 weeks before last frost. Cover seed 1/8” with fine soil, pressing firmly. Keep moist.
