Description and Uses: A relative of Butterfly Weed native to South America. Its clusters of flowers are a reddish-orange with intense orange centers and are very attractive to butterflies.
Seed Germinating Tips: We recommend starting Bloodflower indoors to regulate temperature, moisture and light. Barely cover seed with soil and cover with plastic to retain moisture. Transplant outdoors after true leaves have formed. Harden off plants in a sheltered location for one week prior to planting out to reduce shock.
