Adonis Seed - Adonis aestivalisIt's easily seen why a common name for this herb is Pheasant's Eye with its bright crimson flowers with black centers. Greek legend has it that Adonis was killed by a wild boar and from where his blood fell, this flower sprang. It has similar medicinal properties to digitalis.
Seed Germinating Tips: Plant outdoors in spring after danger of frost, or indoors 6 weeks before last frost. Cover seed 1/8” with fine soil, pressing firmly. Keep moist. Germination can be sporadic.
