This herb was used by the American Indians for food and as a medicinal to treat external sores, burns, ulcers and internally in skin disease. Red clover flowers are being used today by many herbalists in an infusion to prevent cancer and even as a cure. Can be used to treat gastric problems, whooping cough and bronchial ailments. Good early spring bee plant.
